Overview
An established law firm is seeking an experienced attorney to join its growing Labor & Employment Group. This role involves advising employers on California employment law and litigating employment-related claims in California state and federal courts.
Responsibilities
- Provide counsel to employers on California employment law matters including wage and hour compliance, leaves of absence, accommodations, employee classification, workplace policies, and pay practices.
- Litigate employment-related claims in California state and federal courts.
- Partner directly with clients to proactively identify risks, resolve workplace disputes, and achieve practical, business-focused outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience advising employers on California employment law.
- Experience litigating employment-related claims in California state and federal courts.
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in California.
Work Location and Schedule
- For candidates located in California: remote work with some travel required.
- For candidates located in Minnesota: hybrid work schedule with three days per week in the downtown Minneapolis office.
Compensation
- Salary range: $225,000 to $325,000, dependent on years of experience.
- Part-time employment considered; salary will be prorated accordingly.
- Applicants with partial books of business will be considered; compensation is negotiable.
