Overview

A national legal team specializing in Labor and Employment law is seeking experienced attorneys for a fully remote, hourly position. This role offers the opportunity to work with a top-ranked employment practice group on a flexible basis without the demands of a full-time, partner-track position.

Responsibilities

  • Handle employment litigation matters primarily on the management side.
  • Manage federal and state court cases, including drafting responsive pleadings and motions such as motions for summary judgment.
  • Conduct all aspects of the discovery process.
  • Manage Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charges, including defending investigations, preparing position statements, representing clients in fact-finding conferences and on-site visits.
  • Represent clients in mediations, conciliations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Collaborate with experienced lawyers, sharing ideas, resources, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible employment litigation experience, preferably on the management side.
  • Familiarity with federal and state court practice and experience with administrative agencies such as the EEOC and Department of Labor.
  • Active bar license in the state of residence and in a state where the organization maintains an office.
  • Strong time management skills and flexibility to handle varying workloads.
  • Commitment to working approximately 1,000 or more hours per year, depending on casework.
  • Collegiate and cooperative approach to teamwork.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly pay range: $100 to $130 per hour, based on education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
