Legal Assistant

Overview

This role is for a Legal Domain Expert with Philippine corporate law expertise to support an AI Model Evaluation & Legal Research project. The position is fully remote and requires the expert to be based in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and statutory analysis under Philippine law
• Review and analyze Philippine case law and regulatory requirements
• Draft and review contracts, notices, and other legal documents
• Evaluate AI-generated legal responses for accuracy, reasoning quality, factuality, and Philippine jurisdictional relevance
• Verify legal citations and identify unsupported legal claims
• Assess the quality of AI-generated legal research
• Create objective evaluation criteria and legal rubrics
• Provide expert feedback to AI research and model-development teams

Requirements

• Philippine Bar-licensed attorneys preferred
• JD/LL.M. graduates, senior legal researchers, or experienced paralegals with strong Philippine law expertise may also be considered
• 3 to 7 years of relevant professional experience
• Strong understanding of Philippine statutes, regulations, jurisprudence, and legal authority
• Experience in one or more of: corporate law, commercial contracts, compliance, legal research, drafting, or advisory work
• Excellent written English and strong legal reasoning skills
• Professional credentials and experience must be verifiable
