Overview
This role supports an AI Model Evaluation & Legal Research project focused on Philippine legal domain expertise. The employer is seeking Legal Domain Experts based in the United States to help evaluate and improve AI-generated legal responses for accuracy and jurisdictional relevance to Philippine law.
Responsibilities
As a Legal Domain Expert, responsibilities may include:
- Conducting legal research and statutory analysis under Philippine law
- Reviewing and analyzing Philippine case law and regulatory requirements
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, notices, and other legal documents
- Evaluating AI-generated legal responses for accuracy, reasoning, factuality, and Philippine jurisdictional relevance
- Verifying legal citations and identifying unsupported legal claims
- Assessing the quality of AI-generated legal research
- Creating objective evaluation criteria and legal rubrics
- Providing expert feedback to AI research and model-development teams
Areas of Expertise
Strong experience in one or more of the following is preferred:
- Philippine Corporate & Commercial Law
- Commercial contract drafting and review
- Corporate governance and compliance
- SEC Philippines regulations, filings, and requirements
- Debt collection and recovery procedures
- Philippine statutes and regulatory frameworks
- Supreme Court decisions and appellate jurisprudence
- Legal research, statutory interpretation, and case analysis
- Legal citation verification
- Legal drafting and documentation
Requirements
- Philippine Bar-licensed attorneys preferred
- JD/LL.M. graduates, senior legal researchers, or experienced paralegals with strong Philippine law expertise may also be considered
- 3 to 7 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong understanding of Philippine statutes, regulations, jurisprudence, and legal authority
- Experience in corporate law, commercial contracts, compliance, legal research, drafting, or advisory work
- Excellent written English and strong legal reasoning skills
- Professional credentials and experience must be verifiable
