Overview
A legal team is seeking a private/investment funds lawyer to provide long-term support to Fortune 500 clients in the asset management sector. The role requires expertise in investment funds, particularly in advising on the formation and structuring of such funds.
Responsibilities
- Advise on the structuring, formation, and ongoing maintenance of private investment funds and related vehicles.
- Draft, review, and negotiate fund documentation and key agreements with investors, service providers, and financing parties in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Support the launch of new products and strategies by providing risk-focused guidance on applicable regulations and internal policies.
- Provide legal support on matters related to public funds as needed.
Requirements
- Approximately 6–10 years post-qualification experience (PQE) with a strong background in investment management, funds, or broader financial services, ideally gained at a leading law firm or financial institution.
- Essential experience providing legal support on private funds.
- Proven ability to lead complex matters independently and engage confidently with business stakeholders while exercising sound commercial judgment.
- Chinese language skills are an asset but not essential.
