Overview
A legal consulting role is available for a professional with experience in hospitality and real estate transactions. The position involves providing dedicated legal support on a variety of commercial real estate matters, including hotel property transactions and related agreements.
Responsibilities
- Draft and review contracts related to hotel property transactions
- Advise on real estate transactions, zoning, land use regulations, and potential risks
- Negotiate terms and conditions of real estate transactions
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Manage business-critical matters such as volume lease renewals, large-scale projects (e.g., retail store upgrades), agreement amendments, asset management work, construction/professional appointment agreements, and lease transactions
- Focus on lower risk deals in established larger markets such as Greater China and Australia
- Provide timely and consistent legal support to key stakeholders
- Communicate confidently and manage a demanding workload with professionalism
Requirements
- Strong understanding of property law and relevant regulations
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions
- Experience with hotel-related agreements, volume lease renewals, large-scale projects, agreement amendments, asset management, construction/professional appointment agreements, and lease transactions
