Overview
A legal consultancy is seeking a Legal Consultant with expertise in technology law and data projects to support global clients across commerce and industry sectors.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on IT/digital and data projects, including IT system/software acquisitions, implementation, cybersecurity, and data compliance.
- Negotiate technology-related contracts.
- Manage data privacy matters under Hong Kong and Mainland China laws.
- Assist with commercial and intellectual property work as needed, including general commercial contracts, collaborating closely with senior business stakeholders.
- Potentially support HR and employment-related matters when necessary.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience (PQE) with strong background in IT/technology law and data-related work.
- Ability to work autonomously and engage directly with senior management.
- Experience providing guidance to team members.
- Strong fluency in English; Chinese language skills are a plus.
- Experience with Hong Kong and PRC employment law is advantageous but not essential.
