Legal Counsel

Overview

The organization is seeking a commercially sharp Legal Counsel to help scale its social casino and gaming business headquartered in Gibraltar. This is a broad, hands-on role at the heart of the business, providing legal support across commercial, regulatory, corporate, and compliance matters as the organization expands into new global markets.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and execute a wide range of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements and high-value partnerships.
• Act as the go-to legal partner for internal teams by translating complex legal issues into clear, actionable guidance.
• Lead legal risk management by identifying exposure early and building controls to protect the organization as it grows.
• Support global expansion by navigating jurisdiction-specific regulatory requirements, licensing frameworks, and cross-border compliance obligations.
• Oversee corporate governance, including board support, statutory filings, and record-keeping.
• Manage relationships with external counsel to maintain quality and control spend.
• Build scalable legal capability through training, policy development, and templates that support other teams.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor (UK or equivalent) with 3–5+ years post-qualification experience, including meaningful in-house exposure.
• Background in tech, gaming, or a fast-paced digital business.
• Broad commercial law grounding across contracts, IP, data protection, regulatory compliance, and corporate matters.
• Proven ability to manage the full contract lifecycle while working closely with commercial and product teams.
• Comfort working across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory environments simultaneously.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills with clear communication; able to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
• Solutions-first mindset, including early problem identification, quick proposal of fixes, and appropriate escalation.
