Responsibilities
- Lead responses to legal tickets from internal teams (including sales, procurement, and HR), escalating to subject matter experts as needed.
- Partner with procurement and stakeholder teams to draft, review, and negotiate inbound SaaS, service, and contractor/consultant agreements.
- Collaborate with commercial counsel to provide effective and efficient legal support to close sales deals.
- Collaborate with employment counsel on development, preparation, and training for personnel-related compliance policies and documents, and provide day-to-day support to the People team.
- Advocate for and implement technology improvements to enhance the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of legal operations, including automation, AI, and other tools.
- Monitor global legal developments for compliance purposes (including labor, data privacy, and AI-related laws) in locations where the organization has personnel and customers; work with internal and external subject matter experts and advise the business with practical solutions.
- Help identify and implement solutions that are compliant and aligned with business goals while supporting customers, people, and core values.
- Understand company-wide goals to develop systems, processes, and metrics supporting growth.
- Perform other duties as needed to meet ongoing legal team needs.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
- Admitted to practice and in good standing with one or more state bars in the US.
- 4–8 years of legal experience across commercial, operational, or general corporate matters.
Preferred Qualifications
- Combined law firm and in-house experience at a SaaS/technology company (preferred, but not required).
