Legal Counsel (Blockchain Payment)

Overview

A US-based fintech startup specializing in cross-border blockchain payments is seeking a Legal Counsel to support its legal and compliance functions. This role involves drafting contracts and monitoring regulatory developments to ensure adherence to SEC and MiCA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review contracts related to cross-border blockchain payment services.
• Monitor and analyze regulatory changes, including updates from the SEC and MiCA.
• Provide legal advice and support on matters related to fintech and cryptocurrency law.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in fintech or cryptocurrency law.
• Strong knowledge of SEC and MiCA regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent skills in contract drafting and negotiation.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
