Overview
A growing technology company is seeking an attorney with strong experience in commercial and technology law to join their legal team. This full-time position can be based at one of the organization's US hubs or remotely within the United States. The role involves working cross-functionally with sales, strategic partnerships, and other teams to negotiate and close contracts with customers and partners.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements with customers, collaborating closely with the sales team and relevant stakeholders
- Support the partnership team in onboarding strategic partners
- Collaborate on designing, implementing, and improving legal policies and procedures to manage legal and business risks
- Advise on legal risks and contribute to legal and go-to-market contracting strategies
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and license to practice law in at least one U.S. state
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and technology agreements such as enterprise sales agreements, data processing agreements, SaaS agreements, as well as partnership agreements including service partner, reseller, and referral agreements
- Collaborative approach with strong relationship-building skills and credibility
- Strong work ethic and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Understanding of privacy issues in commercial transactions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience advising on or using artificial intelligence technologies
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual base salary range: $149,000 to $288,000 USD (salary may be adjusted based on location, qualifications, and experience)
