Overview

A leading global data and AI company is seeking a motivated Legal Counsel to support its growing EMEA business. This role offers the opportunity to apply SaaS commercial legal experience in a fast-paced environment, partnering with sales teams to enable innovative organizations to utilize a cutting-edge Data Intelligence Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales teams to facilitate adoption of the data and AI platform by major enterprise customers.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements including Master Customer Service Agreements (MCSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and Order Forms, ensuring risk mitigation and compliance.
  • Provide practical, commercially-minded legal advice throughout the contract lifecycle to sales and professional services teams.
  • Support and enable sales teams on contractual requirements, best practices, and contract management.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company’s internal structures, product offerings, technology, and security/data protection policies.
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to propose business solutions that meet both company and customer needs.
  • Cultivate strong cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders to support go-to-market efforts across EMEA.
  • Actively test and adopt AI tools to improve the efficiency and quality of legal work.
  • Contribute to process improvements and promote best practices within the legal function.
  • Serve as a valued team player to enhance the legal department’s reputation as a trusted partner within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Qualified lawyer with approximately 3 years post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Experience in-house at a leading SaaS company or in private practice supporting SaaS clients, with exposure to regular or quarterly sales cycles.
  • Solid experience negotiating MSAs, NDAs, Order Forms, and legal amendments with enterprise customers.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to quickly learn large CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and contract management systems (e.g., Ironclad).
  • Genuine willingness to test and adopt AI tools to enhance legal work efficiency and quality.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize competing demands effectively.
  • Experience working closely with sales teams.
  • Strong interest in supporting a high-growth data and AI company.
