Overview
This role involves providing general legal advice and support to a global group of companies, assisting with daily business activities, and working closely with the North America based Legal Director and the broader legal team. The position includes reviewing and negotiating master agreements, supporting sales teams, drafting policies, and managing legal operations initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Review and negotiate various agreements including services, procurement, carrier, and confidentiality agreements.
- Provide general legal advice on employee matters, regulatory compliance, and other business activities.
- Draft bespoke contracts such as agency, referral, and commission agreements.
- Assist in resolving disputes as they arise.
- Support legal operations initiatives and special projects directed by Legal Directors and Chief Legal Officer.
- Review advertising and promotional materials including websites, online publications, and campaign content.
- Monitor new legislation and regulatory changes, communicating potential impacts to the business.
- Provide advice on regulatory and compliance issues.
- Act as a strong ambassador for the legal team across the organization.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in contract review and negotiation of master level agreements.
- Qualification to practice law in the jurisdiction of residence, in good standing.
- Experience in an in-house legal role preferred.
- Background in IT/Technology industry agreements preferred.
- Experience in a sales-driven company is advantageous.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a focus on practical, commercial advice and plain English drafting.
- Exposure to the data center industry is highly regarded.
- Experience or exposure to privacy, information security, and regulatory matters is highly regarded.
- Employment law experience is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to work independently with global teams, proactively raising questions.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage risk while delivering practical advice.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills adaptable to diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage competing priorities across different matters, jurisdictions, and time zones.
- Strong relationship-building skills with high integrity and professional accountability.

- Exposure to data center industry.
