Overview
This role is for a Legal Counsel – Global Commerce (US, Remote) focused on supporting a rapidly scaling global marketplace. The position combines commercial legal expertise with leadership opportunities to drive transformation within the legal function, including leveraging AI tools to enhance legal workflows and capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and simplify complex commercial and technology agreements involving vendors, partners, and customers.
- Utilize AI-powered tools to accelerate contract workflows and improve legal insights.
- Develop programmatic, repeatable legal approaches to support a growing global marketplace and high-volume partner interactions.
- Collaborate closely with commercial, product, and leadership teams to deliver practical legal solutions.
- Translate business goals into actionable legal roadmaps aligned with measurable outcomes.
- Streamline execution by removing friction and enabling faster business decision-making.
- Monitor legal, regulatory, and AI developments to proactively guide the business.
Requirements
- Proven experience negotiating, drafting, and advising on complex commercial agreements, including limitation of liability, indemnification, and risk allocation.
- Strong understanding of data processing concepts, privacy regulations such as GDPR, and cloud/software ecosystems.
- Commercial judgment in privacy, security, and commercial risk matters.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI tools and emerging legal technologies.
- Ability to drive meaningful change by combining legal expertise with AI capabilities.
- Experience or interest in building scalable, programmatic approaches to stakeholder engagement.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments managing multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Must hold valid right to work in the United States.

- Background in technology or software-related legal matters.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $190,000 to $230,000 depending on experience.
