Overview
This role is part of the legal team and provides timely, practical, actionable legal advice to internal business partners and leadership to support business growth and long-term strategic goals. The position focuses on drafting commercial prescription benefit management (PBM) contracts for health plan and employer clients/payors, advising internal partners on PBM program terms, and handling a range of related legal matters.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the business and operational goals of assigned internal clients and build and maintain positive relationships at all levels.
- Collaborate with team members and business partners to provide practical, sound legal guidance aligned to business objectives, and actively drive projects to successful conclusion.
- Provide counsel directly to PBM division leadership.
- Interpret and administer PBM services agreements in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Provide legal and regulatory compliance interpretation, along with general corporate legal advice.
- Identify business and legal risks and recommend solutions that balance those risks with business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in transactional and/or complex contracting with a healthcare company or law firm.
- 2+ years of healthcare law experience, including basic knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations such as HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, the False Claims Act, and the Federal Anti-Kickback Statute.
- Admitted to practice law in at least one state.
- Ability to travel up to 5% (including by plane).

Education

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $144,200.00 - $288,400.00
- The pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for positions in the job grade.
- Actual base salary offer depends on factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
- Eligible for a bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range.
- Includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
