Legal Counsel – Information Technology & Digital Platforms (Remote)

Overview

A leading organization in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech sector is seeking a Legal Counsel specializing in Information Technology & Digital Platforms. This remote role is open to US-based candidates only (no visa sponsorship available) and offers significant visibility, growth opportunities, and impact within enterprise technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to IT and engineering teams on technology-related issues
• Support enterprise technology transformation projects, including cloud services and infrastructure updates
• Offer legal counsel on cloud migration and other digital platform initiatives
• Address licensing and compliance matters related to IT systems
• Collaborate with Privacy and Information Governance teams on data handling and rights
• Review complex IT vendor agreements and provide escalation support as needed
• Develop playbooks to standardize legal review processes for technology agreements

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school with current bar admission
• Minimum of 10 years of experience practicing IT law, including expertise in cloud services and IT contracting
• Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical legal guidance
• Demonstrated strong drafting skills and solid business acumen
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and aptitude for learning company-specific systems

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of cloud technologies, enterprise IT infrastructure, SaaS, and PaaS
• Experience with digital productivity platforms and licensing management software
• Familiarity with IT system governance, compliance management systems, and data governance frameworks
• Understanding of enterprise architecture tools, cloud migration tools, and contract management software

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range: $179,100 – $388,100
