Overview
This fully remote Legal Counsel position supports a rapidly growing mobility business within the United States. The role involves partnering with business teams to provide legal advice and support on a variety of commercial contracts and legal matters. It offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to a dynamic and expanding organization.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, technology and software licenses, master service agreements, statements of work, SaaS agreements, professional services agreements, and other vendor contracts.
- Negotiate agreements with vendors and suppliers to optimize service, cost, quality, and risk mitigation.
- Manage the standard procurement agreement process from intake through negotiation and execution.
- Conduct legal research as needed.
- Participate in special projects on an as-needed basis.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in law firm and/or in-house roles with hands-on drafting and negotiation of contracts as described above.
- Proven ability to handle a high volume of contracts effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly learn and develop new skills.
- Independent, innovative thinker with strong analytical, reasoning skills, and sound judgment.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously under competing demands.
- Strong work ethic with proactive follow-up.
- Self-starter capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- General understanding of data privacy and protection laws.
- Licensed to practice law in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with automotive advertising guidelines.
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning legal issues.
Compensation & Benefits
- Anticipated base salary range: $75,671 to $150,000, dependent on geographic location, experience, and qualifications.
