Overview
A legal technology organization is seeking a seasoned attorney with substantial litigation experience to contribute to the development of advanced AI models in the legal domain. This role involves using your expertise to challenge AI with realistic legal scenarios, evaluate its reasoning, and identify areas for improvement to enhance AI performance in legal education, research, and practice.
Responsibilities
- Engage in substantive legal dialogue with AI models on topics such as statutory interpretation, judicial reasoning, precedent analysis, legal citation formats, case brief construction, and evidentiary standards.
- Evaluate AI responses for factual accuracy and analytical rigor.
- Identify reproducible failure points and document performance gaps.
- Collaborate with the team to refine prompts and improve evaluation metrics.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
- Active law license.
- Significant litigation experience, including trial work, appellate advocacy, or other contested matters.
- Strong ability to articulate legal reasoning clearly and precisely.
Preferred Qualifications
- History of legal publication.
- Prior clerkships.
- Teaching experience.
- Subject matter specialization.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $50 to $75 per hour, with the exact rate determined based on experience, expertise, and geographic location.
