Overview
A remote, part-time contract opportunity is available for a Legal Expert with strong transactional and compliance experience. This role involves leveraging legal expertise to contribute to the development and refinement of AI models focused on transactional and regulatory compliance workflows. It is suited for a seasoned commercial attorney interested in shaping the future of technology-enabled legal services.
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and redline commercial contracts to ensure legal accuracy and alignment with business goals.
- Provide expert advice on employment law, structured finance, private equity, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Evaluate SaaS Master Service Agreements (MSAs) to identify risks and recommend improvements.
- Interpret complex regulatory requirements and develop compliance guidelines.
- Assess data privacy policies and practices in line with international standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to clarify legal concepts and provide clear, actionable written feedback.
- Deliver high-quality insights to improve AI models' understanding of legal documents and scenarios.
Requirements
- Active Bar membership in good standing.
- At least 3 years of legal practice experience with a proven track record in commercial contracts, employment law, and structured finance.
- In-depth knowledge of private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in contract redlining and negotiation with strong attention to detail.
- Experience reviewing and advising on SaaS MSAs and data privacy issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex legal concepts for varied audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound legal judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience advising or working with technology-driven organizations.
- Familiarity with international regulatory frameworks and multi-jurisdictional transactions.
- Prior involvement in AI, legal technology, or knowledge transfer projects.
