Overview
This remote role involves reviewing company advertising to ensure legal and regulatory compliance. The position supports managing legal issues related to advertising, including intellectual property, privacy, contracts, and corporate administration. The role requires interaction with business partners from Marketing, Product, Communications, and other areas to provide guidance ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Review advertising, marketing, and promotional materials to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage and coordinate feedback from legal team members and provide recommendations to protect the organization's reputation and business interests.
- Identify legal issues and recommend preliminary solutions; escalate complex or novel matters to supervising Counsel.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to identify, analyze, and propose solutions to legal issues.
- Develop working knowledge of advertising and marketing compliance requirements and serve as a resource to business partners.
- Provide training and education to marketing and other business teams on advertising-related matters.
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and implementing policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and communicate relevant updates to supervising Counsel.
- Research and analyze regulatory compliance measures related to assigned responsibilities.
- Support other legal projects as assigned, including matters beyond core focus areas.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of paralegal experience in a law firm and/or in-house environment preferred.
- Familiarity with advertising law and/or other compliance frameworks is a plus.
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload, prioritize tasks, delegate, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong issue identification and problem-solving skills.

- Demonstrated good judgment and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Physical Role Requirements
- Ability to be seated at a computer intermittently for up to eight hours a day.
- Ability to move up to 10 pounds occasionally by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or repositioning objects.
- Ability to sit for long periods while using office equipment such as computers and phones.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions using hands and digits, such as typing and pinching.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $80,000 to $100,000 per annum, depending on skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
