Overview

A global provider of information-based analytics and decision tools is seeking an experienced contract Legal Researcher & Writer (Attorney) to support their business needs. This is a 100% remote position focused on producing high-quality analytical legal content for professional legal customers.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and develop clear, concise, and analytical legal content.
  • Analyze and interpret legislation, case law, regulations, legal news, and related materials.
  • Incorporate research findings into new and existing online and print analytical content.
  • Write high-quality articles and commentary on current tax and legal issues for legal professionals.
  • Ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and compliance with legal and editorial standards.
  • Utilize generative AI, agentic AI, automation, and data tools to support content development and editorial workflows.
  • Craft prompts, evaluate AI-generated outputs, and refine content for quality and accuracy.
  • Monitor legal developments, regulatory changes, and advancements in legal technology.
  • Collaborate with Editorial Directors, Legal Editors, Product Managers, and legal writers on content initiatives.
  • Support scoping, outlining, drafting, and quality review processes for analytical legal content.
  • Contribute to strategies for innovative legal content products and solutions.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives including product pilots, process evaluations, and standards development.
  • Promote operational excellence and technology-driven approaches to legal content creation.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of legal practice experience or equivalent.
  • Verifiable citation or link to previously published work included in resume.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and original writing skills.
  • Experience with legal research tools such as Lexis+ AI, Protégé, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with data visualization or analytics tools such as Tableau or Power BI is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret AI-generated outputs and integrate findings into legal content.
  • Experience using large language models (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) for drafting, outlining, and summarizing content.
  • Strong understanding of legal research methodologies and content development processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, team-oriented environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to content accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Interest in legal technology and AI-assisted legal workflows.
