Overview

A life sciences attorney is sought for a long-term contract engagement with a publicly traded client in the pharmaceutical sector. This remote, full-time role involves providing legal support on complex pharmaceutical research and development agreements and related regulatory matters.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and negotiating complex agreements including master services agreements, licenses, supply agreements, development and manufacturing agreements, and collaborative research agreements
  • Advising on regulatory frameworks relevant to life sciences and healthcare
  • Supporting clinical, regulatory, and licensing legal matters
  • Collaborating with internal teams to support growth-stage or established life sciences companies

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of legal experience in life sciences, healthcare, or FDA-regulated industries
  • Experience working on complex pharmaceutical R&D agreements
  • Prior experience in the legal department of a life sciences or biotech company, or at a sophisticated law firm
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of residence
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Outstanding professional references

  • Contract duration: 6+ months

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annualized pay range: $170,000 to $200,000 (full-time equivalent), based on experience, qualifications, location, and market factors
  • Contract professionals are typically W2 employees eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week
  • Benefits include Group Life, Long-Term Disability (LTD), Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), a qualified 401(k) plan, and stipends for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) and professional expenses
