Overview

An established global diversified life sciences organization is seeking an experienced Life Sciences Compliance Attorney to join their in-house compliance team. This fully remote, full-time position offers the opportunity to support and enhance compliance programs related to healthcare, anti-corruption, antitrust, and anti–money laundering (AML).

Responsibilities

  • Support and improve healthcare and global compliance programs in line with regulatory guidance (e.g., OIG, DOJ)
  • Draft, review, and update compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies across healthcare, anti-corruption, antitrust, and AML areas
  • Develop and deliver compliance training on topics such as the Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, HIPAA, FCPA, and Code of Conduct
  • Manage third-party due diligence and monitoring processes
  • Perform transaction monitoring, internal audits, and annual compliance self-assessments
  • Collaborate with Legal, HR, Finance, IT, and Regulatory teams to support investigations and resolve compliance issues
  • Advise business stakeholders on compliance risks and best practices
  • Support transparency reporting requirements, including Sunshine Act data validation
  • Assist with government contract reviews, grants, and fair market value (FMV) analyses
  • Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends to inform compliance strategy
  • Support mergers and acquisitions due diligence and integration for healthcare-related acquisitions
  • Prepare reports on compliance activities, investigations, and emerging risks

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
  • Minimum of 3 years of life sciences or healthcare compliance experience within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience with anti-corruption compliance frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations including the Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, HIPAA, FCPA, and UK Bribery Act
  • Experience developing, implementing, and auditing compliance programs, policies, and controls
  • Familiarity with third-party risk management, investigations, and monitoring programs
  • Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office applications
  • Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) designation preferred but not required
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
  • Outstanding professional references

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $145,000 - $165,000, based on experience, qualifications, credentials, and location
