Litigation Attorney

Overview

This role is a remote, work-from-home position based in New York. The organization is a multi-state law firm specializing in legal services for financial institutions, including banks, credit unions, mortgage servicing companies, institutional investors, and other commercial clients. The firm emphasizes the use of technology to enhance workflow efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Handle contested and litigated matters, with a focus on New York Commercial Foreclosure litigation.
• Attend trials, hearings, mediations, and depositions.
• Travel throughout New York State as needed.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 4 years of litigation and courtroom experience; foreclosure experience is a plus.
• Membership in the New York Bar with all necessary licensing and continuing legal education requirements maintained.
• Proficiency in drafting pleadings, briefs, affidavits, discovery documents, proposed orders, correspondence, memoranda, and opinion letters.
• Experience using legal research tools such as Fastcase or Westlaw.
