Overview
A boutique, litigation-focused personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join their team. This role is suited for a responsible, hardworking lawyer who values both quality work product and achieving successful outcomes. The position offers significant responsibility over case files, supported by accountability measures and established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Manage cases from inception through resolution with hands-on responsibility, under oversight and assistance from other lawyers
- Investigate new cases
- Develop litigation strategies and game plans
- Draft complaints
- Draft and pursue discovery requests
- Draft and argue motions
- Take depositions
- Work directly with clients
- Collaborate closely with partners on litigation strategy
- Participate in trials in both State and Federal courts
- Maintain timely communication with partners, clients, referring attorneys, and defense counsel
Work Environment
- Primarily remote position
- Candidates must reside in South Florida and be available for occasional in-person meetings, hearings, or proceedings
- Daily coordination via Zoom meetings at 8:30 a.m. to align priorities and workflow
- Ongoing training and mentoring through practice and procedure modules, templates, reading lists, videos, webinars, and seminars
Requirements
- Licensed to practice law in Florida
- Minimum of 5 years in legal practice, including at least 3 years in civil litigation
- Strong research and writing skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently
- Professional judgment, responsiveness, and attention to detail
Academic Credentials
- Undergraduate degree earned with honors unless from a Top 75 University
And one of the following:
- Law degree from a law school ranked in the Top 50 in the US
- Law degree earned with honors from a law school ranked in the Top 100
- Law degree earned with high honors from a law school not in the Top 100
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
- Clerkship with a Federal Judge or Magistrate Judge
- Federal court experience
- Experience with complex civil litigation
- Significant motion practice and courtroom exposure
- Experience at the U.S. Attorney's Office or Federal Public Defender
- Experience in boutique or high-quality defense firms handling challenging cases
- Longevity (3+ years) in prior attorney positions
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
- Performance-based, discretionary bonus structure
- Benefits package valued between $12,686 and $23,524 per year, including health insurance, 401(k), long-term disability plan, bar dues and subscriptions, seminars, webinars, and maternity/paternity leave
- Benefits value depends on pension plan contributions, bar dues, years out of school, and tenure with the firm

- Remote position requiring residence in South Florida
- Availability for occasional in-person meetings, hearings, or proceedings is required
