Overview

An established, multi-state real estate and creditors’ rights law firm is seeking a qualified Litigation Associate Attorney to support its Virginia practice.

This role involves managing a high-volume caseload related to creditors’ rights and real estate litigation. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, managing discovery, and supporting motion practice and case progression from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-volume caseload involving creditors’ rights and real estate litigation
  • Draft pleadings and conduct legal research
  • Manage discovery and support case progression through resolution
  • Assist with motion practice and related litigation tasks
  • Coordinate effectively with attorneys, clients, and internal teams across multiple jurisdictions
  • Utilize case management and reporting software to proactively track assigned matters
  • Provide proactive communication and maintain strong client care

Requirements

  • Member in good standing of the Virginia State Bar
  • 5+ years of experience in real estate, civil litigation, and/or creditors’ rights practice
  • Willingness and ability to proactively use the firm’s case management and reporting software to manage assigned matters
  • Strong foundation in civil procedure and motions practice
  • Knowledge of Title & Lien Priority, Title Claim, Foreclosure, Eviction, TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and creditors’ rights practice generally
  • Ability to handle court appearances and some attendant travel
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional Bar licenses
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including mentoring and collaboration
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex legal concepts clearly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to legal challenges
