Overview

A nationally recognized law firm with over 250 attorneys is seeking experienced Attorneys to join its expanding defense litigation practice. This fully remote role requires candidates to reside in or near the Houston or Dallas metropolitan areas and be available for in-person court appearances, depositions, mediations, and other litigation proceedings within their assigned region.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of complex litigation independently and collaboratively, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
  • Conduct and defend depositions, draft and argue substantive motions, handle oral arguments, and assist in trials in state and federal courts
  • Oversee cases from inception through resolution, ensuring effective case development, risk assessment, and client communication
  • Attend court appearances, mediations, depositions, and other litigation-related proceedings as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience handling defense litigation matters in hospitality (preferably hotels or managed properties), premises liability, general liability, business/commercial litigation, or related insurance defense areas
  • Trial and arbitration experience preferred
  • Experience litigating in both federal and state courts
  • Admission to practice law in Texas
  • Residency in or near the Houston or Dallas metropolitan area with availability for in-person litigation events
