Overview
A national law firm specializing in creditors’ rights and real estate legal services is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join their high-volume foreclosure practice. This remote position is open to candidates located anywhere in South Carolina. The role involves client contact and managing a substantial caseload. A license to practice law in South Carolina is required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the firm’s foreclosure and litigation departments
- Maintain high-quality work product while helping clients achieve their goals
- Ensure firm policies and procedures are followed
- Monitor case progress and develop strategies to effectively resolve files
Requirements
- Licensed to practice law in South Carolina for at least 5 years
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in creditors’ rights
- Minimum of 2 years’ litigation experience
- Detailed knowledge of creditors’ rights legal representation, including real estate, foreclosure, and litigation
- Working knowledge of civil procedure rules as they apply to foreclosure matters
- Knowledge of Federal and State consumer protection statutes
- Strong professionalism and ethical standards
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Client development, leadership, and motivational abilities
- Intermediate to advanced computer and general office skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Membership in the South Carolina Bar
