Overview

This role is for a Remote Litigation Attorney licensed to practice in Idaho. The position involves managing pre-litigation and litigation matters related to real estate, title, mortgages, foreclosure, evictions, and creditor’s rights. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with strong written and oral advocacy skills and experience in civil litigation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation and eviction cases from inception through trial.
  • Handle pre-litigation cases and clear title to real property.
  • Develop and seek approval for budgets and legal strategies.
  • Research and prepare legal analyses on claims, risks, exposures, and strategies.
  • Draft and argue pleadings and motions.
  • Conduct all aspects of discovery.
  • Collaborate with supervising partners and clients to develop and implement case strategies.
  • Communicate directly with clients.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, settlement conferences via phone, video, or in person as required.
  • Assist with bankruptcy motions, hearings, and adversary proceedings as needed.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in Idaho with maintenance of all necessary licensing and MCLE requirements.
  • Five years of litigation experience preferred; candidates with strong interest in real estate or mortgage law will be considered.
  • Knowledge of foreclosure, real estate, secured transactions, evictions, and creditor’s rights preferred but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet research.
  • Ability to meet an annual hourly billing requirement of 1920 hours.
  • Residency in Idaho or one of the firm’s footprint states.
  • Availability and willingness to attend in-person hearings in Idaho as needed.

Location

Remote work from home with requirement to be licensed and reside in Idaho or footprint states. Must be available for in-person hearings in Idaho as needed.
