Overview

The organization is seeking litigation attorneys with extensive complex commercial litigation experience for contract engagements with its in-house and law firm clients. This role requires strong pretrial skills, including conducting and responding to discovery, legal research and writing, and significant experience preparing legal pleadings, motions, and statements.

Prior experience working at a full-service AmLaw 200 firm or a sophisticated litigation boutique is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and respond to discovery
  • Perform legal research and writing
  • Prepare legal pleadings, motions, and statements
  • Work effectively with little supervision (as needed)

Requirements

  • 4+ years of complex commercial litigation experience
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing
  • Outstanding references

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working at a full-service AmLaw 200 firm
  • Prior experience working at a sophisticated litigation boutique

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay (annualized, full-time equivalent): $120,000 to $200,000
  • Pay basis (contract): Pay is based on multiple factors including work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference.
  • Benefits: Contract professionals are usually W2 employees and may be eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week.
