Overview
Litigation Attorney — Fully Remote (Part-time)
The organization seeks interim litigation support for its Texas offices on an ongoing basis. This temporary/contract remote role is expected to last 3–6 months and requires approximately 10–20 hours per week.
Case matters include complex labor and employment matters, including harassment, discrimination, wage and hour issues.
Responsibilities
- Handle labor and employment litigation matters from case work up through ongoing litigation support
- Perform discovery and support deposition strategy and preparation
- Conduct legal research and draft motions
- Support litigation strategy and motion practice as needed on active matters
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience handling labor and employment matters
- Proficiency with discovery, deposition strategy and preparation, research, and drafting motions
- Excellent academic credentials and top-tier law firm experience
- Licensed to practice law in Texas
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with complex labor and employment litigation, including harassment, discrimination, and wage and hour issues
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: Annualized pay range of $160,000 to $200,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Contract engagement pay is based on multiple factors, including work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference.
- Professional liability insurance: Complimentary professional liability insurance coverage for work or acts or omissions provided within the scope of an authorized engagement.
- Benefits for contract work: Eligibility for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD, and AD&D insurance.
- 401(k): A qualified 401k plan is available.
- Additional benefits: CLE and professional expense stipend for benefits-eligible attorneys.
