Overview
This role involves remote litigation work across Texas for a boutique practice representing licensed professionals. The organization is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to independently manage high-stakes matters, build lasting client relationships, and contribute to continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Represent licensed professionals before Texas licensing boards and regulatory agencies.
- Handle investigations, disciplinary proceedings, contested cases before the State Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH), and related civil litigation.
- Draft responses, pleadings, motions, discovery, legal briefs, and legal correspondence.
- Participate in hearings, mediations, informal settlement conferences, negotiations, and litigation strategy sessions.
- Advise clients throughout the litigation process.
- Develop litigation strategy alongside experienced attorneys.
Reasonable Billable Expectations
- Annual billable expectation: 1800 hours
Requirements
- Current licensed Texas attorney in good standing.
- Three or more years of litigation experience with demonstrated ability to independently manage a litigation caseload and provide exceptional client service.
- Excellent legal writing, research, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Strong client communication and case management abilities.
- Professionalism, initiative, sound judgment, and a commitment to outstanding client service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior administrative law or regulatory experience is welcome, but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $112,000 to $132,000, depending on experience.
- Total annual compensation commonly ranges from $132,000 to $175,000+, depending on individual contributions and results.
