Overview
A fast-growing New York-based law firm specializing in real estate and default services is seeking experienced default litigators. The firm operates across seven states and employs over 300 legal professionals. This role involves working alongside other high-level attorneys in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Draft motions, briefs, and memorandums of law
- Conduct legal research
- Appear in court for a variety of proceedings, including contested motions and evidentiary hearings
- Respond to discovery requests and engage in motion practice
- Manage all aspects of contested cases, including developing and executing legal strategies
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience independently handling contested motion practice
- Admission to practice law in New York; admission in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Connecticut is a plus
- Strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to quickly identify and resolve legal issues
- Capacity to manage a heavy workload and produce substantial legal work
