Overview

A law firm is seeking a mid to senior level Trial Attorney with over 5 years of experience to join its Litigation Business Unit in Southern California. The attorney will work exclusively on a team defending automobile manufacturers, distributors, and dealers in warranty actions. The position offers flexible location options; however, all candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the California Bar.

Responsibilities

  • Handle trial and arbitration matters including opening statements, closing arguments, witness examination, motion practice, depositions, and mediation
  • Advocate effectively on behalf of clients
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements
  • Collaborate with team members and clients

Requirements

  • Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar
  • Minimum of 5 years of trial experience
  • Extensive trial/arbitration experience including opening statements, closing arguments, witness examination, motion practice, depositions, and mediation
  • Exceptional advocacy, research, writing, and negotiation skills
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with a solid work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Warranty experience is not required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $170,000 - $200,000 annually (full-time basis)
