Overview
The organization is seeking a mid to senior level Trial Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its Litigation team in Southern California.
This role involves working exclusively on a team defending automobile manufacturers, distributors, and dealers in warranty actions. Location is flexible, but candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the California Bar.
Warranty experience is not required.
Responsibilities
- Defend clients in warranty actions
- Handle trial and arbitration matters, including:
- Opening statements
- Closing arguments
- Witness examination
- Motion practice
- Depositions
- Mediation
- Provide exceptional advocacy through litigation strategy and courtroom performance
- Conduct legal research, draft written work products, and support negotiation efforts
Requirements
- 5+ years of trial/arbitration experience
- Extensive trial/arbitration experience, including opening statements, closing arguments, witness examination, motion practice, deposition, and mediation
- Exceptional advocacy, research, writing, and negotiation skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with a solid work ethic
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $175,000 - $190,000 annually (based upon a full-time work schedule)
- Actual compensation will be influenced by factors including qualifications, relevant experience, skill sets, training, internal equity, and market data
