Overview
The organization is seeking a midlevel attorney to join its growing litigation practice. This role is designed for an experienced litigator who wants meaningful work, greater autonomy, and the stability of guaranteed hours. Attorneys will work alongside two highly respected partners on complex matters while collaborating with a national litigation team.
This position supports remote work from anywhere.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with two partners on complex matters in the litigation practice.
- Take on immediate, client-facing responsibilities.
- Independently manage significant portions of a case, including:
- Drafting dispositive motions
- Managing discovery
- Taking and defending depositions
- Preparing witnesses
- Supporting trial, arbitration, and mediation proceedings
- Manage multiple active matters simultaneously while staying highly responsive and organized.
- Provide timely client updates and practical recommendations.
- Proactively identify issues and solutions with minimal close supervision.
- Produce high-quality written work product with strong attention to detail.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of experience handling complex commercial litigation matters.
- Trial experience.
- In good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Comfort with multi-jurisdictional litigation, including cross-border matters beyond breach of contract.
- Some experience litigating in federal courts.
- Ability to independently manage significant portions of a case (including drafting dispositive motions, managing discovery, taking/defending depositions, preparing witnesses, and supporting trial, arbitration, and mediation).
- Strong judgment and the ability to identify issues and solutions without requiring close supervision.
- Effective communication skills with clients and colleagues.
- Collaborative approach, including comfort working with a national team on sophisticated business disputes across a wide range of industries.
- Enjoy trying new approaches rather than relying on copy-and-paste work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in business, finance, or other commercially focused disciplines.
- Ability to be located in the Central or Eastern Standard time zone.
