Overview
A personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to actively manage and advance litigation in a fast-paced environment. This hands-on role requires staying ahead of deadlines, maintaining control of case flow, and providing strong, reliable support from filing through trial.
The paralegal will work closely with attorneys to ensure cases progress efficiently and are fully prepared for hearings, depositions, mediation, and trial. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and operates with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
Responsibilities
- Manage a docket of active litigation cases from filing through trial, ensuring efficient case progression and organization
- Calendar, track, and proactively manage all litigation deadlines, including court deadlines, discovery, hearings, depositions, and mediations
- Draft and prepare legal documents such as motions, notices, proposed orders, and discovery requests and responses
- Coordinate and support all phases of litigation including discovery, hearings, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation
- Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, judicial assistants, opposing counsel, and law firm staff
- Organize and maintain case files in Filevine or similar case management system, ensuring all documents, deadlines, and case activity are accurate and up to date
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with personal injury experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, including calendaring and managing litigation deadlines
- Proven experience supporting cases through all phases of litigation from filing through trial preparation
- Strong written and oral communication skills, able to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, attorneys, court staff, and opposing counsel
- Experience drafting legal documents including motions, notices, proposed orders, and discovery
- Proficiency with case management software (Filevine preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with high accuracy and accountability
- Self-starter with strong initiative, able to anticipate needs, prioritize tasks, and operate with minimal supervision
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $65,000 – $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience
- Performance-based bonuses: opportunity to earn quarterly and year-end bonuses tied to individual performance and key performance indicators (KPIs)

This position is based in Florida and requires knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.
