Litigation Paralegal

Overview

An immediate opening is available for an experienced Litigation Paralegal in the employer’s Dallas office. This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must have prior California litigation experience with significant primary experience in personal injury and construction/construction defect litigation.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally and efficiently with clients, contacts, attorneys, other paralegals, and professional staff.
• Assist attorneys with drafting pleadings, performing factual and legal research, reviewing and analyzing documents, and supporting preparation for hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Review, gather, and organize client documents from production through discovery.
• Research, organize, and summarize records as needed for data gathering, including organizing information and documents in databases.
• Assist with preparing discovery requests and responses.
• Support trial preparation, including drafting pre-trial pleadings, preparing exhibits, coordinating witnesses and requests with outside vendors, and providing live trial support.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working as a litigation-focused paralegal.
• Experience in litigation support and case management.
• Experience drafting and organizing discovery, including written discovery and document production.
• Experience preparing for and assisting at trial.
• Familiarity with California State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Experience with Summation Pro, Relativity, or comparable litigation support software.
• Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and technical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to adapt to changes in work environment and manage multiple cases with flexibility, initiative, resourcefulness, efficiency, and a high level of professionalism.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in personal injury litigation.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: USD $45,000.00 - USD $100,000.00 /Yr.

The actual salary offered may be above or below the identified range and will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, including the location where the position is filled.
