Overview
A remote paralegal position is available for a candidate with Florida PIP litigation experience. This role supports attorneys by assisting with legal document preparation, client interviews, medical record review, and trial preparation.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in answering interrogatories by interviewing clients and preparing written responses.
- Obtain, review, and summarize medical records as directed; coordinate expert reviews and medical examinations.
- Prepare motions and conduct legal research related to litigation.
- Interview witnesses in preparation for and during trials.
- Prepare documents and evidence for trial.
- Perform other legal support tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Either a 2-year Associate Degree or 3 years of paralegal work experience.
- Paralegal certificate, degree in paralegal studies, or completion of at least one year of law school.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree.
- Paralegal certificate from an American Bar Association (ABA) approved program preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience working in a civil litigation law firm preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during a full work shift.
- Occasional reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to listen and interpret auditory information at normal speaking levels.
- Visual ability to read and locate materials.
- Dexterity to operate a computer and office equipment for extended periods.
Compensation & Benefits

- Hourly pay ranges vary by state:
- California: $27.73 - $47.07
- Colorado & Maine: $26.00 - $40.67
- Hawaii, Illinois, Minnesota, Vermont: $26.00 - $43.58
- Massachusetts: $26.00 - $43.58
- Maryland & Virginia: $26.00 - $43.58
- District of Columbia, New Jersey, New York, Ohio: $26.00 - $47.07
- Albany County, NY & Cleveland, OH: $27.73 - $40.67
- Washington: $26.00 - $49.52
