Litigation Paralegal - Insurance Defense

Overview

A busy civil litigation law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Paralegal to join its growing team. This fully remote position requires a highly organized professional capable of independently managing litigation support responsibilities in a fast-paced defense practice.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys in all phases of insurance defense litigation
• Draft, review, and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence
• Manage litigation calendars, deadlines, and court filings
• Organize and maintain case files and litigation documents
• Coordinate discovery, medical records, and expert witness materials
• Prepare exhibits, trial notebooks, and hearing materials
• Assist with depositions, mediations, and trial preparation
• Communicate with attorneys, clients, insurance carriers, experts, and court personnel
• Ensure compliance with court rules and filing deadlines
• Handle multiple litigation matters while maintaining exceptional attention to detail

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of insurance defense litigation paralegal experience preferred
• Prior experience in a law firm handling civil or insurance defense litigation
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures from case inception through trial
• Experience drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and other litigation documents
• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
