Litigator / Practicing Attorney (Contract)
This role involves using litigation and legal reasoning experience to evaluate and refine AI-generated legal content.

- Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, refine, and enhance AI-generated legal content using legal reasoning and litigation experience.
- Review and assess AI outputs for factual and legal accuracy, analytical rigor, and adherence to professional standards.
- Provide detailed, written feedback identifying errors, logical inconsistencies, and areas for improvement in legal responses.
- Contribute expert judgment on ambiguous or complex edge cases to inform model calibration for nuanced legal issues.
- Draft or edit sample legal language and arguments to strengthen the model’s understanding of varied litigation and practice scenarios.
- Collaborate asynchronously with a cross-functional project team, incorporating iterative feedback and delivering clear written communication.
Requirements
- JD degree from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school and active license in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Strong relevant experience in the domain, with preference for trial, appellate, or litigation specialists.
- Judicial clerkship experience at the federal or state level (trial or appellate courts) is highly valued.
- Proven expertise in legal writing; experience as a law journal editor or published legal author is a plus.
- Substantial trial experience, federal court admissions, or appellate practice background enhances candidacy.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex legal concepts with clarity, precision, and professionalism.
- Prior instruction or teaching experience in legal education (law school faculty, adjunct, lecturer, or fellow) is desirable.
