Overview
This is a remote, part-time, independent-contractor project for corporate lawyers with M&A experience. The role focuses on helping ensure AI systems read and mark up deal documents accurately.
Responsibilities
- Run simulated deal negotiations and redline purchase agreements and related documents
- Evaluate AI-generated contract analysis and mark-ups, and provide expert written feedback on precision and legal judgment
- Help create objective grading standards so models are assessed consistently
- Collaborate with research and product teams to develop guidelines and best practices for AI-assisted contract review
Requirements
- JD and active bar membership in at least one US state
- Two or more years in the M&A group of a corporate law firm
- Familiarity with asset purchase agreements, share purchase agreements, and the usual ancillary documents
- Excellent written communication and close attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with private-equity clients
- Prior legal-tech or AI work
Compensation & Benefits
- Independent-contractor engagement, remote
- Approximately 20 hours per week
- Paid per completed task (about 3.5 hours each on average)
- Quoted hourly equivalent: $90 to $130
