Overview
This role supports the Wind segment with strategic, senior-level legal counsel across legal, compliance, and risk matters. The position requires broad legal expertise, strong judgment and business acumen, and experience advising on large-scale projects and complex commercial transactions.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal advice to Wind segment teams.
- Lead legal and compliance strategy and direction for the Wind segment in coordination with other internal counsel and the Wind segment Global Legal & Compliance team.
- Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with large-scale projects, including negotiation, drafting, execution, interpretation, and review of complex agreements.
- Advise business teams on new, changing, and unique regulatory and compliance issues in the region.
- Support segment litigation, arbitration, mediation, and dispute resolution.
- Manage outside counsel and associated spend.
- Advise on a wide range of legal matters.
- Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with Wind segment business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, sales, sourcing, projects, and operations.
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Admitted to practice law in at least one US state with 8+ years as a practicing attorney.
- Extensive experience in complex commercial transactions and large-scale project contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to provide senior-level legal advice and counsel to executive leadership.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Wind industry and regulatory landscapes.
- Experience with EPC projects.
- Background in a project-oriented, industrial company.
- Knowledge of US federal and state regulatory frameworks.
- General understanding of the Inflation Reduction Act, including Prevailing Wage, Domestic Content, and Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) requirements.
Compensation & Benefits
- For candidates applying to a U.S. based position: pay range between $176,300.00 and $293,800.00.
- Geographic differential: 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
- Specific pay offered may be influenced by factors including experience, education, and skill set.
