Overview
A mid-sized law firm recognized for excellence and innovation is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney with 3 to 5+ years of experience. This role involves managing a caseload of litigation matters including commercial, contract/business disputes, general liability, construction, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death claims. The position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base including individuals, businesses, and organizations.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage litigation cases from inception to resolution
- Develop and implement case strategies
- Handle discovery processes
- Take and defend depositions
- Coordinate with expert witnesses
- Conduct law and motion practice
- Interface with clients and opposing counsel
- Prepare for trials and mediations
- Collaborate with a litigation team in a supportive environment
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the State Bar of California
- 3 to 5+ years of litigation experience in a law firm environment
- Experience handling general liability, construction, personal/catastrophic injury, contracts/business, and/or commercial disputes
- Proven ability to manage cases independently from start to finish
- Strong communication and advocacy skills
- Client-focused mindset with a passion for achieving successful outcomes
- Trial experience is a plus
- Candidates may work fully remote or hybrid; fully remote candidates must reside within 100 miles of the Walnut Creek, CA office
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $140,000 - $150,000 (actual compensation based on experience)
