Overview
This Senior Attorney position is based in Minnesota within the Legal department. The role involves managing an active plaintiff-side wage-and-hour, class, and representative action caseload in state and federal court, including litigation against regional, national, and Fortune 500 companies. The position also provides guidance and oversight to associate attorneys.
Compensation: $200,000 - $400,000 / year
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead an active caseload of plaintiff-side wage-and-hour, class, and representative action litigation
- Develop case strategy
- Conduct and respond to complex discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Draft and argue dispositive motions and class certification motions
- Lead settlement negotiations
- Appear in court for hearings and trial
- Mentor junior attorneys on litigation best practices
- Provide guidance and oversight to associate attorneys
Requirements
- Licensed to practice law in Minnesota or already licensed in another U.S. jurisdiction with pending admission to Minnesota
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in civil litigation, including:
- Experience with discovery in the civil litigation context
- Oral advocacy and appearing in court
- Motion practice
- Taking/defending depositions
- Ability to travel on occasion
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with class actions, complex litigation, and wage and hour litigation
License/Certification
- Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Minnesota
