Newly Barred Associate Attorney, Workers' Compensation (Remote/Hybrid - California)

Overview

A law firm specializing in employment and workers' compensation law is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join their team in Burbank, CA. The firm focuses on representing employees in cases involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage disputes, and workplace injuries.

Responsibilities

• Manage a docket of cases through to resolution
• Prepare clients for depositions, attend depositions, and handle invoicing related to depositions
• Respond to client inquiries requiring attorney negotiation and work towards case resolution
• Maintain responsiveness to emails and phone calls
• Provide direction and guidance to non-attorney staff as needed
• Foster a positive work environment and lead by example
• Participate in team events during and outside work hours
• Provide feedback to management to improve firm performance

Requirements

• Must be admitted to the California State Bar and reside in California
• Newly barred attorneys or those who have taken the July 2025 Bar exam are encouraged to apply
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent writing, verbal communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Experience with doctors' depositions is preferred
• Good standing with the California State Bar

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $110,000 - $130,000 per year
