Overview
An AmLaw 200 law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Attorney for a contract engagement. The role requires extensive experience representing lenders, developers, owners, and investors in complex commercial real estate transactions. A New York law license is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in sophisticated real estate finance transactions
- Handle acquisitions, dispositions, development, and leasing matters
- Draft, negotiate, and communicate effectively on complex commercial real estate deals
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of attorney experience
- Substantial experience with sophisticated real estate finance transactions
- Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, development, and leasing
- Strong communication, drafting, and negotiation skills
- Licensed to practice law in New York
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Outstanding professional references
Position Details
- Role type: Contract engagement or contract-to-hire
- Duration: 6+ months
- Schedule: Full-time preferred; part-time candidates will be considered
- Location: Hybrid preferred in Midtown Manhattan; remote candidates will be considered
Compensation & Benefits
- Annualized pay range: $250,000 to $290,000 (full-time equivalent)
- Pay for contract engagements is determined by factors including experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and candidate preference
