Paralegal

Overview

A growing law firm specializing in Family Law and Criminal Defense in the Las Vegas / Clark County area is seeking a skilled and motivated Paralegal to support their Family Law practice. This is a remote position with a preference for candidates based in Las Vegas. Local candidates are a plus, but flexibility is available. The role offers a collaborative environment with opportunities for growth and long-term engagement.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain case files
• Docket and calendar key dates and deadlines
• Track deadlines and communicate with relevant parties
• Assist with completion of legal forms
• Draft correspondence and court documents for attorney review
• Prepare reports and legal documents for attorney review
• Conduct legal research and verify case law and statutes
• Prepare discovery and responses to discovery requests
• Meet with clients to review discovery responses
• Communicate with clients regarding updates and information gathering
• Assist attorneys with hearing and trial preparation
• Provide courtroom assistance when needed
• Provide backup support for legal assistant duties including phones, scheduling, file updates, and e-filing
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Paralegal degree or certification preferred
• 7 to 10+ years of Family Law paralegal experience strongly required
• Nevada experience required
• Combination of relevant education and experience will be considered

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay range: $30.00 - $40.00, based on experience
