Paralegal

Overview

A Florida family law office is seeking a seasoned family law paralegal who can hit the ground running. This role is ideal for someone calm under pressure and passionate about family law work.

This office does not bill by the hour. The focus is on taking ownership of matters and closing cases out efficiently through strong case management and support for legal leaders.

Responsibilities

• Own client documents and communication, including client intakes and weekly status updates
• Support case progression and move matters through workflow stages
• Own the case calendar, including scheduling mediations and depositions, deadline tracking, and hearing date requests
• Prepare hearing and trial materials
• Coordinate with the lead attorney and senior paralegal

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Florida family law paralegal; 10 years preferred
• Experience in a fully paperless office environment
• Ability to claim ownership and close loops on operations
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written communication skills
• Hands-on experience working with AI tools daily; AI tools such as Vicent through Clio are required
