Paralegal

Overview

An experienced defense Litigation Paralegal is needed for the Commercial Transportation practice, supporting attorneys on litigation matters from inception through trial and close. This role is remote and allows work from anywhere in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Manage client cases from inception through trial and closing.
• Complete daily time entry billing requirements.
• Obtain, review, analyze, and summarize documents, including medical records, financial documents, and other relevant case information.
• Assist with trial preparation, including trial binders, exhibits, and preparing witness files.
• Manage the court docket calendar.
• Create status reports and provide updates to appropriate parties.
• Work cases from start to finish while meeting all court deadlines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience, preferably in defense litigation support.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved organization.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including attorneys, legal staff, court staff, clients, and expert witnesses.
• Demonstrated interest in defense litigation.
• Ability to perform legal research; experience with Lexis+.
• Familiarity with reviewing and obtaining medical records.
• Experience with time entry billing in a law firm setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, required.
